Studio Instruction Guides

The Digital Fabrication Studios is where the digital fabrication equipment is located within the Stamps School of Art & Design. In the Digital Fabrication Studios, you’ll find various fabrication machinery including CNC machines, laser cutters, Vinyl press, and 3D printers, and more.

My role in this project was to give the Digital Fabrication Studio machinary instruction guides a makeover. Before, the guides were simple word documents without imagery and little organization. I transformed the guides using Adobe InDesign, giving each machines’ guide it’s own special vibrant color against a grey industrial background, with careful consideration for user experience. These guides were printed using a third-party printing service and uploaded digitally as interactive PDF’s on student computers.
